What do you do when you are a busy mom and the schools have 1.5 days closed because of snow AND your oldest child gets sick?
If you don’t have a backup plan for these unexpected things, then it’s time to make one NOW! Elementary school students are prone to all the cold germs and nasty virus bugs, very often because parents send their sick kids to school when they should be home recovering.
Do you have family or friends who you can call at a moment’s notice so you don’t have to miss work? Talk to your chosen caregivers NOW to find out their availability and put their numbers close to the phone so you don’t have to search high and low at a moment’s notice.
We don’t usually get notice that our kids will be sick so be prepared with a backup plan!

Baby Talk Radio was launched in the summer of 2006 and has been a fun little podcast for moms, expectant parents and just about anyone who loves babies :) It has consistently received 500+ listeners per episode and the website receives 150+ visitors a day.
In my (Kelly’s) ongoing effort to Examine and Improve her business projects, I have decided that it is time to let Baby Talk Radio go to someone who will love it and take it to the next level.
The project as a whole has been placed on eBay. If you’re interested in podcasting about babies and pregnancy, be sure to keep an eye on this auction and place a bid if you’d like to have it!

Kelly McCausey of Wahm Talk Radio joins me on the show today. Kelly and I know each other not only on a business level but a personal level as well. Kelly has a heart for helping those around her and that’s just what she did when Caleb and I first moved to Gaylord several years ago. Kelly opened her home to Caleb and I and we shared her house for about 2 1/2 years!
It was a pleasure interviewing Kelly because usually the roles are reversed and she’s in the interviewer seat instead of the interviewee! Listen in as Kelly shares some of Tishia’s questions regarding single parenting.
What’s the one piece of advice Kelly recommends for single moms? Listen in to find out!
This week Cara Mirabella from The Household Helper shares some ideas for keeping all the school paperwork and art projects organized in our homes. While all the projects sure are cute and we just know that we’ll cherish them forever, we will very quickly gain lots of clutter and run out of space for storage of these precious projects.
Find out how to share these art projects with others in your family and let your kids help make the decision of what you should keep. This will instill the idea of giving to others, which is a life lesson for young children.

I (Kelly) have a Internship Opportunity with a Bartering Bonus attached. I am seeking a ghostwriter/blogger to fulfill a ten week assignment, working two hours a day, five days a week. For those who aren’t quick with math (like me!), that is a commitment of one hundred hours.
You will be asked to listen to a daily internet radio show for Moms. (Mom’s Morning Show) and write up show notes for each episode, then post them on our Blog.
You will also be managing the social networking tasks on our Blog Talk Radio membership. (Adding friends, welcoming new listeners, etc.)
One hour a day is spent listening and taking notes, the second hour is spent writing and posting.
Creating useful and entertaining show notes is a nice niche for a ghostwriter to pursue and if this area interests you, I’d love to hear from you. This Internship is not paid, however I do have a barter package to offer the intern who is accepted and that is:
- A Lifetime Mom Masterminds Membership (Value $600)
- One Year Free Registration of a Domain Name (Value $10)
- One Year Free Website/Blog Hosting. (Value $120)
- Free Copy of Ghostwriting Success Teleseminar (Value $27)
- 3 Hours of One on One Coaching with me. (Value $180)
If you would like to apply for the Intership, please send an email with a letter of introduction and a sample of your writing to mom@momstalknetwork.com.
Mom’s Morning Show has been a ‘two woman’ show with it’s hosts welcoming impromptu calls and special guests on a regular basis.
Listener feedback has shown that the show is more enjoyable and engaging when there are more voices on the air throughout the show so they are pulling out a new show format starting Monday, February 4th.
The hosting team is growing to include a wider variety of interesting moms, about a dozen in total. Each show will feature four different voices weighing in on that day’s topics and events.
Original co-hosts Kelly McCausey and Tishia Lee will be a part of the new ‘Mom’s Morning Show Crew’ and both share anticipation about having more moms to interact with and share daily air time responsibilities with. This week we’ll welcome:
Tune in over the next few weeks to meet other new ‘Crew’ members as they make appearances.
There are two spots left on the Crew waiting to be filled. If you’re a chatty, opinionated Mom who would love making a regular appearance on Mom’s Morning Show, send your bio and introduction to mom@momstalknetwork.com for consideration.

Tune in Monday through Friday for Mom's Morning Show, our live call in show and listen to any of our partner programs anytime that suits your busy schedule.
