This Week’s Theme: Raising Tweens and Teens to be Savvy and Successful Adults
Today’s conversation was about teenagers and MySpace. LaTara Ham-Ying called in to talk about how she moderates her son’s MySpace page. She checks his comments, messages, etc. Marie shared that she made her daughter delete her MySpace page because of something silly she did.
Carrie Lauth called in to share some of her opinions about teens and the internet. The conversation turned to Carrie mentioning that some of the clothes she sees young girls wearing with their parents at the mall and stuff is no different than the provocative pictures they post on MySpace.
There was a lot of great conversation today about taking measures to protect our kids when it comes to the internet!

Mom’s Morning Show crew Kelly McCausey, Tishia Lee, Aurelia Williams and Annette Yen came together this morning to talk about a fun topic - raising tweens and teens!
This Week’s Theme: Raising Tweens and Teens to be Savvy and Successful Adults
Kelly shared about how Sean is getting very involved with video games again and she voiced her opinion that she might need to ‘banish’ video games for awhile until he gets his rump in gear with his school work. It’s almost time for graduation and he’s a little farther behind than he should be.
Aurelia jumped in to share some suggestions with Kelly on how to get Sean motivated. One suggestion she provided was setting up a schedule but as Kelly said, she hates schedules.
Annette shared that she does not allow video games in her house. They’ve never had them and never will. Annette said that they also don’t watch TV.
Aurelia shared that her 16 year old daughter is very successful with school, etc but when it comes to finding a job, she is just pure lazy.

Mom’s Morning Show #121
Mom’s Morning Show crew Kelly McCausey, Tishia Lee, Tammy Munson, Cara Mirabella and Marie Ynami came together to talk to guest co-host Diana Walker.
This Week’s Theme: Eating & Living Healthier for a Good Life and a Smart Business
The ladies discussed rest and how important getting enough of it really is. Not only does rest effect your physical health, it plays a huge part in how your emotions work. Anyone that isn’t well rested tends to be more emotional - crying at the drop of a hat, lack of rest can make you lose your temper easier. Rest is such a vital part of our lives but so many of us don’t get enough of it! The ladies also talked about how a good bed will effect your sleep. Most of the conversation was all about rest and how important it truly is for both your physical and emotional state.
Kelly ended the conversation by asking a really good question: If some really big website was to contact you today and wanted you to do a big project for them, where you could show off your expertise & this was the ‘break’ you were waiting for, would you be able to do it?

Ted Slanker from Slanker’s Grass Fed Meats shares with us why grass-fed meats are best for our overall health and why grain-fed meats are really “food concoctions” that are impacting our health in a negative way. Did you know that by eating grass-fed meats you could possibly reverse the symptoms of many chronic illnesses that plague us?
Join us for a very educational show! If you missed any of the websites mentioned, check out the show notes at www.MomsLoveShopping.com

Mom’s Morning Show #120
Mom’s Morning Show crew Kelly McCausey, Tishia Lee came together to talk to guest co-host Diana Walker.
This Week’s Theme: Eating & Living Healthier for a Good Life and a Smart Business
The ladies looked at how eating healthy and exercising effects your business. Tishia shared that until she embraced eating healthy and exercising over the past almost two months that she didn’t really realize how being healthy effected her business. But she thinks back to when she used to live on caffeine and junk and how foggy her brain was and unfocused she was in her business. Now she works with a clear, focused brain and finds it’s easier to accomplish business projects.
Diana talked about gluten and wheat and how you can have a sensitivity to that. You can tell if you are sensitive to it because as soon as you eat it you might feel tired. The way to find out if you are intolerant to wheat is cut it out for 2-3 days. You might go through withdrawals even! Statistics show that a lot of people are not even aware that they have a wheat intolerance!
Diana & Kelly talked about sugar and the nasty effects it has on your body and your health. Sugar also effects your immune system and your bodies capability of fighting off disease!
Diana shared a great quote this morning:
“Health isn’t everything, but everything is nothing without health.”

Wonder Years Radio - Show #27
Do your kids choose the same books week after week when they visit the library? Are you tired of reading about the cartoon characters who grace our television sets?
This week I’m pleased to be joined by fellow podcasters Andrea and Mark who are the hosts of Just One More Book. They have developed a wonderful resource site for both parents and teachers all about children’s books and three times a week they sit in their favorite coffee house and review books that teach lessons.
They also feature interviews with authors and illustrators in an effort to entice kids to learn more about the steps necessary to create a printed book. If you are searching for a specific theme, check out their site because they also categorize each book by subject matter and age.

Mom’s Morning Show crew Chele Neisler, Annette Yen, Tishia Lee and Carrie Lauth came together to talk to guest co-host Diana Walker.
This Week’s Theme: Eating & Living Healthier for a Good Life and a Smart Business
The conversation today was about exercise and the nutritional value of steaming vegetables. It was all about the importance of nutritional value and how we lose that value if we use the microwave to heat up our veggies. This of course led into a conversation about how bad the microwave really is. Diana talked about that for a little while and Chele piped up to share some of her thoughts about that.

Kelly McCausey and Tishia Lee were joined by a special guest co-host Diana Walker joined us as a special guest co-host. Diana is known as The Cravings Coach. Diana hasn’t had a craving in over 10 years now. That’s what I call impressive! You can learn her secrets by picking up a copy of her ebook, Craving Secrets.
This Week’s Theme: Eating & Living Healthier for a Good Life and a Smart Business
Diana took some time to share about how she began her journey to health and becoming the Cravings Coach. Kelly asked her to share what a typical day looks like for her. And after Diana shared, she turned the conversation around on Kelly and asked Kelly to share what her day(s) are like. Kelly shared that she hasn’t been eating very healthy but has been so busy with doing quad watch that she feels like she has lost weight.
Tables turned and Tishia was put on the hot seat to share about how she is losing weight, eating healthy and exercising. Tishia pointed out that although she is working really hard with exercising, etc she also shared that she isn’t doing it the most healthy way. She isn’t starving herself but she is eating generally only 1 meal a day and that’s a salad. She gave up all junk food and all pop and pretty much went cold turkey. She shared that she can’t make small changes, it’s all or nothing with her so has to give up everything all at once. She also shared that when she does try to eat more than one meal day, sometimes it’s just the fact that she isn’t hungry so she doesn’t eat.
Diana shared some wonderful insight into Tishia’s eating habits and that eventually she has to introduce more food into her daily intake.
