This Week’s Theme: Being Positive in Life and Business
Today it was Kelly McCausey, Annette Yen, Carrie Lauth and Marie Ynami.
We asked the question: “How do you stay positive when things are going wrong around you?”
Everyone agreed that having a support system of ‘cheerleaders’ around us helps us make it through tough times.
This led to a great discussion about how to deal with the negative people around you. Kelly recommends the book The Five Love Languages as a tool to better understand how to shower love on someone in your life that needs extra encouragement.
There are times when negativity crosses the line over to toxicity, Kelly shared about how she drew her own lines to protect herself from a damaging relationship.

Welcome to the new format of Mom’s Morning Show! If you’ve ever seen the daytime talk show The View you are familiar with how their show goes. They have 4 hosts on at a time which brings a lot more views/opinions/thoughts about a topic on a daily basis. Kelly and Tishia were getting pretty bored with hearing themselves talk all the time plus they wanted something that was interactive on a daily basis. Out of that, Kelly born the idea of Mom’s Morning Show The View Style.

Sandra Jensen of Family Foodies was back this week to share the instructions for this week’s Crock Pot club recipe, Slow Cooker Potato & Canadian Bacon Chowder.
The topics of conversation were interesting to say the least. Then again isn’t that one of the fun things about a live show? You never know where the hosts will take you & with all the chat going on it’s easy to get sidetracked and talk about silly things.
Kelly has found an apartment and will be moving when her lease is up. She is heading over to be closer to her niece so it will make quad watching easier.
Kelly left everyone with one word to think about for the next blogging contest. Marathon. Hmm this should be interesting to find out what Kelly has up her sleeve.
Please pray for Tishia’s friend Seth in Iraq (and all our soldiers). He was hurt last night.

Kelly took the day off so listen in as Chele Neisler and Annette Yen join Tishia on Mom’s Morning Show.
The ladies chatted about Twitter and all the interaction that takes place over there on a daily basis. Chele took a couple minutes to share about this week’s Moms Love Shopping show that will air on Friday and how Carrie Lauth joins her to talk about thrift shopping.
There was chatter about chocolate and if anyone had any suggestions/ideas for what Kelly could do for the next blogging contest. Most of us think that fear can hold some people back from participating in contests, especially the recent one where it was required to interview show hosts. Sometimes people are afraid of feeling silly or afraid that they will say something wrong, etc so they just don’t participate. It was suggested that the contest needs to be something middle of the road but fun to pull in more participants.
Today’s WAH Topic: Time Management
This is something that has been talked about in the past but a new listener was asking all about how to manage working and family. Chele, Annette and Tishia took turns sharing their thoughts and opinions on the topic and Angie Newton called in to share her opinion as well. It was pointed out that there isn’t a one size fits all answer for this because everyone has their own situation so what works for one person isn’t going to work for someone else.
And to end the show the ladies asked for an update on Tishia’s new friend

This Week’s Work at Home Topic: Examine & Improve
Kelly shared about how now that she is on nightly Quad watch she has had to revamp her work day. This has caused her to examine some things in her business and come to the realization that it was time to let go of some things that were taking a huge amount of time but not producing much, if any profit. Many of you know that one of Kelly’s recent decisions was to let go of the WC Mini Mag and just yesterday she bid farewell to the Moms Talk Network forum.
It’s hard to let go of things that you’ve started and invested not only time but money in but in the long run it’s worth it to examine and improve and let go of things if you need to. So how about you - is there something you need to let go of?

Chele Neisler of Mom’s Love Shopping joined Kelly and Tishia today on Mom’s Morning Show. Kelly played 20 questions with Chele and Chele shared about how much she is truly enjoying podcasting.
Kelly shared a forwarded email she received from her sister, and how she despises forwards unless they truly will benefit her, titled Hot Chocolate. It was very insightful and made me stop and think about some things. If you missed it, check out the archive of today’s show. Hot chocolate is your life, the work and the things you have is just the cup you drink from. Kelly took the hot chocolate conversation into work at home conversation. Are you letting your business get in the way of your kids & your husband enjoying their hot chocolate?
On the Phone:
Tammy Munson

It’s Hump Day on Mom’s Morning Show today. How’s your Hump Day going?
Today’s Topic:
Social Networking
Some sites that the gals shared that they use for social networking are Twitter, Work it Mom, Facebook, MySpace, Ryze,
What do you think about Ryze and Yahoo Groups? Do you still network using these two things? Most people said that they aren’t really using Ryze anymore and Tishia and Kelly shared that they aren’t involved in yahoo groups because they feel it’s too hard to keep up with everything. Patrysha shared that she loves yahoo groups.
Tishia shared that with MySpace she hasn’t had any positive business networking. It’s been full of a bunch of people spamming her bulletin board or inbox with a bunch of junk about their business. So for her personally she doesn’t like MySpace for business networking but does use it for networking with friends from highschool, etc.
Assignment for today!
Yes Kelly’s handing out ‘homework’ again. Pick a couple people in the chat room, click on their profiles and go to their page, add them as a friend and leave a comment for them.

On Mom’s Morning Show today Kelly and Tishia were joined by special co-hosts Brenda & Vickie of Prim Sister’s Talk Radio.
Special Guest:
Tammy Gibson of A Mom in Red High Heels. Tammy joined the ladies to share about the importance of taking care of ourselves especially as mothers. Tammy shared that it doesn’t have to be this long drawn out process every day - it can take as little as five minutes and simply just putting on lip gloss & mascara.
It’s not about being obsessed with how you look but instead it’s about caring for oneself and working with what you’ve got!
It was a great interview and if you missed the show you can access it in the archives section on the site.
Last minute chatter was about email and some issues that a couple people were talking about on Twitter and in the webcat - missed emails or emails going into the spam folder.
