Yes, that Willie Crawford. The very same Willie Crawford who is an icon in the internet marketing world. I’ve admired Willie from afar for many years and have recently had the opportunity to get to know him and his beautiful wife better at live internet marketing events like his 50th Birthday Bash. We’re actually neighbors and live only 30 minutes apart. (Lucky me!)

In the beginning of this interview, I was giggling like crazy because I was so nervous! But, then I got into my groove. I even got a scoop — Willie shared a tidbit that has never been shared in any interview – ever.  And, it’s something handy to know in case you ever get lost in the woods with him.

Dan Thies, former Dean of Faculty for StomperNet, has been a heavy hitter in the SEO world for a long time now, and he’s respected among his peers as THE keyword guru.

He has been helping his clients (and friends) promote their businesses online since Netscape was a start-up. He is the author and publisher of the top-selling e-book “Search Engine Optimization Fast Start,” now in its 4th edition. Dan launched SEO Research Labs in early 2003, following numerous requests from readers for keyword research services.

That’s the most recent bio I could find and it sure doesn’t do him justice. He’s freaking brilliant, super funny, and a link building mad-man.  Plus, unlike many SEO guys I’ve met, he’s focused on building a quality business, not just gaming the search engines. He makes so much sense. In fact, he is referred to as the “White Hat Black Belt”.

If you’re just learning about SEO, white hat means that you do things according to the rules. Black hat – means not so much. (A cute take on the Wild West.) And, much like in the Westerns, the bad guys may run off with a big ole bag of cash, but it’s not too long until the Good Guys win.

That’s my take on it, anyway. I’m a White Hat girl. I’ll gamble on the Nickel Slots, but not in my business.

I’ve hung with Mark and his beautiful bride, Heidi, on several occasions. The first time, I met Mark, it was very quick and I wasn’t quite sure what I thought of him. But, the second time, when I actually got to talk with him, I became quite smitten! (In a completely appropriate business sense of the word.)

Seriously, this guy is … well, we need a new word in the dictionary that means “Really Freaking Smart About Business Stuff”. He’s that.

In the interview you’ll find out about how Mark lost 90% of his internet income overnight – and how he handled it. You’ll also find out what this big guy knows about quilting. (Nope. NOT a typo. This week, I have Ross Goldberg with me. I met Ross and his beautiful wife at Stomper Live in Atlanta this past August. He is a Stomper faculty member for them and he’s a hard-working,  driven, and very smart marketer.

This week, I have Kevin “Mr. eBay” Johnson with me. I met Kevin at Willie Crawford’s 50th Birthday Celebration and then we also had the chance to hang out at NAMS2 in August.

Kevin has created a cool system that he teaches for using eBay. He found a product that is in high demand and has found a way to get a supply that he can turn around and sell for a profit. That’s as much as I can tell you, though, since it’s his proprietary system for customers only.
