We like it when Moms come here and make comments. We especially appreciate it when they provide a link to their own blog or they recommend a neat resource that they think other moms would enjoy.. but the Wordpress blog comes with a standard ‘nofollow’ tag on every comment made – which means that search engine spiders will not index the new link.
Since we all love a little search engine love – every link is precious, amen?
So we installed a plugin that strips the nofollow tag from our blog comments. That means that a link is a link and search engines will be free to follow them. This means more great inbound links for our listeners and readers.
We’re not complaining about Wordpress blogs by the way. We love them! The nofollow tag is just a little idea designed to reduce spam on blogs that went a bit too far for our tastes
