Road Trip! This past week three fellow Michigananders (Tishia Lee, Kim Smith and Cindy Bidar) joined me for a whirlwind trip to Toronto, Canada for our first ‘International’ Mom Masterminds Tweet Up Lunch.
On Thursday night our Canadian hostess, Sharon McMillan showed us a great time, taking us to Unionville for dinner (Angela Wills and Sarah Zeldman joins us) and a little local flavor and then entertaining us with great girl talk over coffee and yummy Italian desserts.
We stayed at the Hilton in Markham – which was beautiful and oh so comfortable! On Friday we had lunch in the hotel restaurant with other Canadians from the surrounding area.
It was an amazing time. I have known some of these women for six years and have enjoyed many great web chats and telephone conversations, but there’s nothing like face to face time.
Do you get out of the house for face to face networking with others? Do you ever pursue having coffee or lunch with someone you’ve met and worked with online? I highly recommend it!
