This week, I have Ross Goldberg with me. I met Ross and his beautiful wife at Stomper Live in Atlanta this past August. He is a Stomper faculty member for them and he’s a hard-working, driven, and very smart marketer.
Ross Goldberg’s bio is fascinating. It’s filled with stuff like this:
I’ve actually had 2 brushes with death. I nearly died in 2003, as well as my coma in 2005…
The hit from the pistol missed my temple by an inch. $30,000 worth of neurosurgery later, I was as good as new!
Seriously. Like I can make this stuff up?!

Nicole and I had a great call! We laughed and Nicole was even a good sport to play a silly game with me. I have been getting over a cold so I hope you’ll forgive my rough voice. Nicole answered questions about:
- How she got started online.
- What she did when her business got out of control, overwhelming and all-consuming.
- How she became an internet rock star on her Blog World Tour.
- How to know when to cut promotions or products
- and more!

Had a great conversation with Melody Thacker. Here are just a few of the questions I had for her:
Q – Please tell us about yourself in your own words?
Q – Could you give us a description of a day in the life of Melody?
Q – What online techniques do you use to promote your business?
Q – What made you decide to work with a direct sales/network marketing company?

Online distractions – oh how many different ways there are to be distracted on the internet! I posted about some of my issues with online distractions over the weekend and saw quite a few responses. It’s clear that we all struggle with it in one way or another. Listen in!
Is there something inherently wrong with playing games online? Of course not. But there is definitely huge potential for going overboard. Since we work at home without supervision, we have to develop our own strategies for keeping some balance in our activities.
Use a Timer!
This isn’t nearly as corny as it sounds. How many times do we say to ourselves ‘I’m just going to play for a half hour this time’? Put some meat into those words and set a timer to warn you when your time is up.
Be Accountable.
If you’ve been letting distractions take control for a long time you may need to invite someone to hold you accountable to setting more ambitious goals and seeing them through in a measured time frame.

Parenting My Teen #48
October 19, 2009 by Christina · Leave a Comment
Do you know what your teen does with his/her cell phone? If it has photo capabilities, you better check to be sure they’re not “sexting” their friends or even total strangers.
In this episode of Parenting My Teen Aurelia shares tips for keeping your kids away from the temptation of sexting, or sending revealing – or even nude – photos of themselves to their school friends. Sometimes kids do this for fun and other times it’s done to humiliate another student. No matter the intent, having these risque photos of themselves on the internet can cause nothing but trouble.
Communication with our teens is so essential, especially in regard to sexting. Did you know that some states consider sexting a form of child pornography and the consequences could land your teen in jail and/or with the label of “sex offender”?
If you need help talking to your teen but don’t know where to start, check out our special report, Real Life Guidance to Understanding Your Teen.
