Many home business owners start selling their products on a part time basis, or as a hobby, just to see if their products are well-accepted before taking the risk to focus on the business full time. But handling a part time business while working a full time job can be very tricky, especially if you also have a family who needs you.
This week Michelle spoke with Craig Weindling of Smiley Dog and he talks about how his idea for a local pet supply delivery service was born and his challenges in growing the business while working full time. His careful planning has allowed his business to grow and remain strong in the Seattle area, even when larger competitors have tried to start their own delivery services and failed in the process.
