Parenting My Teen #39

October 6, 2008 by Christina

This week Aurelia is joined by two special guests. First, parenting coach Vanessa van Petten from On Teens Today shares a few tips for helping your teen deal with “mean kids” at school. Surprisingly, this type of bullying is not reserved for the high schoolers. Share these tips with your 6th graders who are still transitioning to middle school. Talking openly with them will encourage them to share any mean incidents that happen to them.

Stacie Mahoe from All About Fast Pitch advises parents of student athletes about the 5 biggest mistakes student athletes and their families make during college recruiting. This is must-know information if you have an athlete who dreams of a college scholarship.
