Kelly McCausey was joined by Carrie Lauth, Treece Smolinski and Tishia Lee.
The ladies talked about using business coaching to help get a new perspective, a new set of eyes, on your business. Sometimes we get so involved in building our business, working on our projects, etc that it’s beneficial to us to hire a coach to take a look at things for us. Treece shared about her awesome coaching session she had with Carrie recently. Kelly talked about a murder mystery book she is reading and made mention of how the book talks about the same thing as everyone had just mentioned (having a new set of ‘eyes’ to look at things) and how (in the book) they always had another set of eyes to investigate the murder scene after one person had already combed through it because things get overlooked.
The ladies also talked about copyright issues with names. A listener in the chat room brought up a question about the name they were using for their podcast and how another site owner contacted her and told her she couldn’t use that name because it was copying her (the other person). The listener wasn’t using the same name but it was similar. This led Kelly to talk about her experience with the same thing not that long ago with a big name company contacting her and making her take her site down.
